The US government lists general information about the EB-5 Immigrant Investor program on this page. Of particular interest for potential immigrant investors are the Regional Centers which may allow the investor to participate with a capital investment in one of the approved Regional Center projects and then base an immigrant visa petition on this relatively passive investment, provided the project fully funds.

As USCIS points out on their homepage, the mere fact that there are a few hundred approved Regional Centers in the United States does not mean that the Regional Center projects will necessarily result in the investor obtaining a Green Card, nor does the list guarantee compliance with US securities laws or eliminate the risk to the investor.

Potential investors should always seek professional advice when making investment decisions and perform their own due diligence.
